Target Audience
My Target audience for my movie trailer are aged 15 and over as the genre I want to do is Action so it will contain violence which would be inappropriate for audiences younger than 15. I feel this is a suitable age as the content will won't contain blood or bad language. If I wanted this in the movie trailer than the age would be 18 and over. Another reason why I chose a young audience over and old audience is that they would be more attracted to these sort of films. Adults around 25 to 40 will be interested massively into action films still but probably developed a better interest somewhere else. When the people are around 50 to 75 they will lose most of the interest into this particular. This age group compared to the younger age group the choice is more clear. As my trailer is an Action, the gender will be both Male and Female. However it slight favoured by male audiences as Female audiences are more attracted by the male characters in a particular film like for example Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible. Examples of films similar related to the genre are:
- Spectre - PG 13
- Mission impossible- 13+
- Star Trek Beyond- PG 13
- Captain America Civil War- PG 13
The regional Identity for my audience is the UK, England. I feel this would be a good option to advertise my film as I feel my film will be understood more as it will be based around British representations. Plus there are a lot of young teenagers that it will beast to get people interested. The content will attract adults as well so I could try and gather research into what the adults look for in an action film. Together this could make a rather large audience who will be interested into watching the film.
The lifestyle my audience could have is that most of teenage audience will be students in schools or about to go into work or university. For my adult audience they are working day in, day out but there's a high number of action film fans. For example Marvel fans and spy fans. The films that have inspired for my narrative idea are all action films with different genres attached. This will help attract different people into watching the film.

Summer work part 2 Movie posters
Star Trek Beyond
Poster 1

Poster 2
Johnny English Reborn
Poster 1
Poster 2
Iron man 3
Poster 1
Poster 2
All of these posters all have a theme which they follow. For example for Star Trek Beyond most of the poster have similar elements like the Enterprise, the swarm and the crew. If a poster follows the same theme it will attract audiences and doesn't show the major plot points which could spoil the movie. Another example of following the theme is Johnny English Reborn which has the main character in different positions and poses. The background is the same theme with the explosion but tries to add little elements so it doesn't make the audience think that its not advertising much.
The purpose of these posters is to advertise the release of the film to the audience. It helps attract new audiences while also attracting their fans. The aim is to get people into the cinema so they show elements which will make them excited as it is new. The designer of the poster must add elements which will show new characters and new scenarios that the character will go through. Another element is the background showing key moments that will question the audience and make them interested in finding out by going to watch the film. If it doesn't make them question then they probably won't be interested in watching the film. While designing posters sometimes they link them together For example the Iron man 3 posters which links possible plot points like in poster 1 there's an attack helicopter which could be the cause of the house being destroyed in poster 2. Star Trek Beyond released individual character posters of the crew.
As I mentioned on the poster each of them have their own colour for example Scotty has the red colour as it matches the uniform they are wearing. Except for the Female character which is not part of the crew but has a unique colour to her style. Doing it this way will advertise the actors who are in the film and the character they play.
