For this film title of "Love Actually" it is designed in a way to represent the genre. The style of the film title is very simple but effective. It uses it's colours to symbolise love. So the title uses red on "Love" to show this. Red is the colour of love so it uses Rick Altman's theory of using signs to create semantic elements. Another element is that it is made bold to make it clear to the audience. The rest of the title is made black to blend the colours together. The house style continues to the movie posters advertising this film. It really sets the theme and the mood for the film as it explores multiple relationships. As this film is represented as a classic the title is very memorable because of it's simplicity so that's why it is such a design.
Notting Hill is another classic in the Rom Com genre that has a memorable film title. As "Love Actually" it is made quite simple but because of its design it's effective. The colours of this film title are blue for the text and red for the underline. The G in "Notting" cuts of the underline. The text is not made bold but it makes it quiet lively with the colours. It does set the mood for the movie.
This film title for "about Time" follows almost the same design as "Love Actually" with one of the words being bold and the other not. However on this it switched instead of the first word being bold its the second. What's different however is that it has 1 colour for the title which is white where "Love Actually" had 2 colours with 1 being symbolised. From what I have researched it is clear that most Romantic comedy film titles are created simple but used font styles and colours to create effect. These titles can help give us good ideas that we can adapt into our film title of "Endless".
